Crystalife has sponsored young female football competitions over 5 years in Amaokpara, from 2019 to 2024 – as a way of empowering the female children on Amaokpara community and using this competition to foster social unity while keeping the female child active, 3 of the football team had been sign into professional clubs at Aba Nigeria. Crystalife has sponsored small businesses for some women in the Amaokpara and the recipients are doing well employing others in the community to work for them. Another form of empowerment of the female children was working through the community leaders to secure skill acquisition centres to train in fashion design, barbing, and small scale cooking
The purpose is to empower the often neglected female children into having skills to fend themself and become independent, to reduce their reliance on men and risk of crimes and unwanted pregnancies, and for them to feel a part of their community, this empowerment encourage the often neglected female children to seek position of community leadership when possible. The initiative had been welcome by different stakeholders in Amaokpara community where this empowerment is primary placed, but it is envisaged to be extended to neighbouring communities and where possible to Mbano, a different local government area The impact include benefactors having opened and running their independent businesses, and I understand one of the recipients had opened another shop and employed some other females
